Subject line says it all. And My hands are not so good with M/K due to severe diabetic neuropathy. Will be a month or so before I can get a new equivalent setup.

Unlucky! :(

OTOH, 11 years is quite a lot of time, for something like that! I really doubt my X55 will last half that long.

I REALLY babied it and tried to keep it clean. It did some IL2, X2 through X:Rebirth, Jetfighter 4, F-22 Raptor but most of the time it was used in the X Series from egosoft. It has been a great HOTAS.

Sounds like you got some great times out of it!

Sad that your old one passed into that great recycling bin in the sky -- but the good news is the X55 is incredible, and absolutely DELIGHTFUL with Elite:Dangerous. Hope you recover from the pain of your sad loss, and then manage to upgrade to the X55 soonest!

I have a family member that is going to look into trying to get a X-55 for me today. Also had a group member offer to help me out on the honor system which floored me. We have good people in this group especially such that would help a complete stranger in this way. I did do some flying from Leesti to 78 Ursae Majoris last night via voice attack and keyboard/mouse. It wasnt a very pleasant experience when one has been spoiled by the x-52 lol.

Another joystick combo you might look into is the Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS X. It can be found for around $50 if you search. Fry's Electronics has it for such (if you are in the US). However, Amazon and others might list it for as high as $85, so watch out.

As you might guess, I recently purchased one. My very old Saitek Cyborg has serious problems. I have to have the null zone be 50% of the stick, and if I push the hat switch right, my trigger becomes buttons 2 (alt fire), 3 (boost) AND 4 (target forward) as well. Under my current configuration, this happens a lot during combat.
