Founders

I was wandering the "official" frontier forums last night and came across a post from Jan this year about Founders world. Basically saying there is a glitch which lets you buy at the 10% discount then sell and the full price. Rinse and repeat and fly off in a conda, all without leaving the dock!

Anyone know if,

1. this is true
2. does the glitch still work?

I need another 8 mill before I am comfortable to buy a Python and this could save me a few hours grind.

Hmm, I don't really know what the rules are for ED, but in every other MMO game I know, deliberately taking advantage of an exploit is considered, at best, very very bad karma. At worst it's the quickest way to a ban.

I'm not a white knight, I'm not judging you (hum, I've even been known to resort to cheating myself) and don't really care how others play, as long as they don't interfere with my own play style, but I'd be pretty disappointed if this group would discuss this sort of exploit publicly.

just as well its gone then! There was another too where you could buy a ship at 10% off and then sell it a couple of systems away and then go back in a sidey and do it again and again. 5mill a time for a python!!

Glad they have been fixed tbh as I have spent a long time grinding!

That glitch/exploit was fixed a few patch iterations ago. Many commanders used it (I did not) and were told they could keep their spoils but they would no longer be eligible to for the Race To Elite Competition. I'm not sure if FD has reversed their stance on that but I think they got enough flak for it since that if you're found using an exploit or glitch you will get banned.
