Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

OK, there's two parts to this post...

First.....I got me a nice shiney FDL....ooooh yeah

Second.....well that's about it. I fell into the trap of getting it, spending all my money on it and I can't afford anything else. Oh, except for the big Gimballed gun on it

So here's the real second bit. Don't fall into the same gotcha I did, see the nice shiney paintwork, the draw of that huge mount (oooer!), and the bragging rights when you hit the RES areas. KEEP SOME MONEY TO GET A !&^£%! FSD. Oh, not that I can at the station I'm at anyway, it doesn't have any. And I can't jump many places as it only has about a 6ly range currently. Guess it's buy a hauler, go to Alliance and trade in the 400k bounties I have there - eeesh!

Anyone remember those old Tom and Jerry cartoons, where Tom would throw a stick to get rid of Butch the dog, and he'd get the stick and turn into a Donkey. Yeah, that's how I feel, I'm the donkey!!!

And if anyone wants to get one, they're sold at Zeta Trianguli Australis (Guest Station), and there's a really good outfitter close by at LHS 3295 (Yang Hub)

I did the same thing, I knew better but couldn't resist when I hit the base price. Not only that but I miscalculated and was running without insurance for a few hours. And as you said the base FDL is utter crap, it's probably the worst base config of any ship I've bought - now it's upgraded I love it but those first few hours getting even from E to D on the main components (and, er, insurance again...) were painful.
