New Python owner looking for loadout tips :)

New to the Python, used to knife fighting in my vulture - whole different game in the Python.

Any tips on weapon loadouts for RES/CZ- I'm experimenting with different ones at the moment - using class 3 Gimballed Bursts on main and Class 2 Turreted multicannons at moment.

Any advice appreciated :)

Just bought a few upgrades - thanks to Mario pointing out where I could find a 7A power Distributor :)

Using this build now - seems to work well in the brief time I've had to test it - might change the Pulses for Class 2 Bursts when I can find them, absolutely no problem with the lasers overheating either :D

Ello, this is my current loadout, although i've dropped one of the SC's for just doing res's

I'm a full time hunter and found this loadout works great :D

I've had my Python for some time now - bought it before the nerf.

This is my current build http://www.edshipyard.com/#/L=605,4zg4z ... 205U2UI2jw

Large fixed beams for big ships and small pulses for the small ships. The weapon convergance on the Python is so good it makes it relatively easy to use the fixed beams. I do play about with weapon loadout, but always seem to come back to this ;)

I use my Python for just about everything. Missions, bounty hunting, exploring, etc.

I have a Type 9 I use for when in the mood to trade and I'm playing around with a Vulture ATM, but I'll probably sell it soon and just carry on using the Python until something better comes along :D

This is what i'm flying now:

I like the cannons for anaconda hunting.
But i'm still working on getting more A-rated stuff and looking at other loadouts.

And using this for power management:

EDIT:
I think every loadout that has been posted here will work in RES sites. It just depends on your own style.

Aye, I'm having fun with Bursts and Pulses - dropped the Turrets as I kept getting fined lol.

Think I will drop the pulses and give cannons a try out .

One main difference I've noticed to fighting in my Vulture is now if I get swarmed by 3 or 4 fighters - I come out of the combat with my shields still intact - in my Vulture I would usually be in Get The Heck Out of Here mode lol :)

My Python right now, with the 3G beams on the rear large hardpoints:

Huge alphadamage on the cannons, tearing through anacondas in no time. And I am just using the two beams on smaller ships. RES hunting is a walk in the park. I occationally have to use the shield cell banks, but I feel very safe. Heat and power management is also no problem. I mean: the beams do deplete the juice if you keep your trigger firing constantly, but smaller ships die way before you are out of power. And fighting anacondas, with an occational break in firing the beams, or letting your cannons do the work alone for a while, you have no problem.

I Love my Python!

I've gone back to 3 x Class 3 Gimballed Bursts and 2 x Class 2 Gimballed Multicannons - the cannons were nice but the 100 ammo on them was a pain.

I mean come on - I'm flying around in a Massive Space Ship, I've got room for 220 Units of Gold - and yet no room for more than 100 Ammo for Cannons?

Where are you getting the C3G Bursts? I can't find any anywhere.
