Hi,

Went to the CZ in Quivira and signed up for the Empire Faction.

TUrns out theres oodles of Mobius CMDR's signed up for the other Faction... ( peoples ....)

SO whats the Mobius rules of engagement, is PVP allowed where we are all on different factions?

THat said i was heavily outnumbered so turned tail quickly to get out of there!

:D

But niot for long..

From the Group Policy - See the 'Policy' link at top of the page :)

Inside Conflict Zones the following rules apply:
It is not allowed to attack a neutral player (a player not having chosen a faction)
It is not allowed to attack another player while being neutral (not having chosen a faction oneself)
It is not allowed to attack another player on the own chosen faction
Only if both players have actively chosen opposing factions may they engage in combat
It is not allowed to exit and enter a warzone in rapid succession for the sole purpose of targeting other players. Only if the wrong faction was chosen by mistake or by mutual agreement of the present players (For example in order for everybody to join the same faction).

As for me - I always play it safe and do CZ's in Solo :)

Taken from the Policy (http://elitepve.com/page/policy)

•It is not allowed to attack another player for any reason outside of Conflict zone. Conflict zones special rules apply, see below.

◦It is not allowed to attack a neutral player (a player not having chosen a faction)
◦It is not allowed to attack another player while being neutral (not having chosen a faction oneself)
◦It is not allowed to attack another player on the own chosen faction

Besides, it's always nice to greet other commanders and ask them if they'd like some PvP or not, and to live them alone if they don't.

A good rule of thumb, but sometimes, when the red mist descends all the red markers look the same... I may follow Colin's way in future...

Thanks for the Clarification...

If the numbers of CMDR's is evenly balanced, then i would advocate a quick gentlemans parlez before engaging in PvP..(as suggested so as to gauge the appetite)

If the numbers are heavily swayed on one faction or another then, i suspect just turn and run lol..no medals for dead heros.

But then also, going Solo is another option.

TTFN chaps and see you all in teh CZ's..!

Tally Ho!

The Quivira CZs start out with a lot of players and a lot of rubber-banding - you'll be targeting ship and it will suddenly disappear and reappear behind you. (Mind you, that's better than the other CZs I've been in where the whole zone shifted 30Km or so and I was left on my own.) Then the connection drops and when you log back in it's you against the galaxy: you might as well be in solo.
So either my computer can't keep up or the FD servers have a discussion and reach a compromise.

Funny i noticed alot of 'Zipping ahead' by NPC's during the CZ i was in earlier...

Usually sign of congestion somewhere..

likewise, i figure if the lag is screwing up my game then it's also screwing it up for the other CMDRs present too, and besides i like to be able to pick the meatiest targets without having to worry about whether i'm being greedy and not leaving some for anyone else

Well when Kev Robertz and I went for a hunt yesterday night – thanks for the nice evening by the way –, it was all-green all-players ,against the overdressed Senator who seemed to have gone widdling himself hiding out of fear. No point really in hanging out there.
So Kev just let me into his own Private Group and we did the CZ as a Wing but with NPCs in it :)
