Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

I had been having a blast bounty hunting in my Cobra in a RES with a close station and pretty great trade routes nearby, (for those times when I want lower intensity game play in my T-6). I was getting good coin, and had the Cobbie mostly upgraded to A class components. She was a force to be reckoned with, IMO.

Then I started saving my hard earned (not really) BH RES coin for a Vulture. I wanted to have enough to buy it and outfit it pretty well before leaving space dock. I was also concerned about only having two weapon hardpoints. Well.... I pulled the trigger yesterday morning, and traded in my Cobbie for this configuration of Vulture!

After spending about 2 hours in the RES with my shinny new Vulture, I gotta say.... I FREAKIN LOVE THIS SHIP !!!!! The maneuverability and shield strength is absolutely incredible! I never even used a shield bank when fighting condas and pythons back to back.... amazing. The two 3E/G pulse lasers are performing well, but I do miss the "metal ripping" sound of the 2D/G beams that I had on the Cobbie. I also miss the cannon wallop, but I'm shredding ships without having to return to the station for repairs and reloading which is all that really matters.

I am saving up some scratch for class A thrusters ($5.1 Mil.... really???) and will try different weapon loadouts sooner or later.

If you are a bounty hunter and are considering a Vulture, I say.... jump in with both feet, it's amazing!!

I did the same a while back, and boy does the Vulture rock - I went for dual class 3 bursts in the end - great fun

I love mine too. I run it with a C3 beam (great for the shields) and a E3 pulse (for the subsystems).

Yeah I still have a special place in my heart for my Cobra and still have that ship and will use it for rare trade runs, but the Vulture is a sweet machine, especially with ur configuration AND the class A thrusters... u think she maneuvers like a dream now, just wait!

I'm just worried it's "too" sweet and gets nerfed in an upcoming patch.

and to think you still have the Python and then the Anaconda to look forward to

Although the upgrade habit gets bloody expensive - just popped an A8 Power Plant in my 'Conda - 162M lol

I have a C class shield on mine, but 3 class A boosters. COME AT ME BRO! Lol gimbal pulses and chaff get me in real close to Anacondas and Pythons. Then the can’t run, turn away, or survive.

For real fun..lure the anaconda into the asteroid fields..destroy his drives and watch him bounce off rocks until he explodes...

I just came back to reality after working the RES for one hour. (check the bounty vouchers screenshot below!)

I only used 2 chaffs and my shields never dropped to one ring. I have yet to use the shield cell banks that I have on board.

God I love this ship!

That sounds like an absolute blast! I'll have to give it a try next time I'm in the RES.

I rammed a python into a rock with my fully shielded Honey badger..and took one ring of shield loss, I was charging to the rescue of a wingmate..and my weapons were recharging.
The vulture is one tough bird..and as to nerfing it...dont see a point, anyone can buy one..and there is no matchmaker in the game..its a nasty customer but it can be out ran..and a anaconda doing a full thrust death roll can give you a nasty surprise.

the Vulture's Achilles heel is its focus..when you are concentrated on killing that big snake..2 little ones can whittle your shields down very fast.
