Because you (I...) rush out of a station with a full cargo hold and clip the letterbox and BOOM On blow'nd up Type7 and 1.5Mill worth of cargo gone... An hours work Gone

Thankfully I always fly with insurance but still cost better part of 3/4 million to replace ship then I obviously lost the 1.5mil of cargo. Lesson learnt, don't cook dinner while playing the game

Do you have shields?

I know I made sure I had 4A shields with 4 shield boosters. Ran into a T9 head on, only lost 1 ring on my shields.

Nah, what would I want shields for, I mean what could possibly go wrong?!

I am strongly considering reinstalling some now tho!

I am the same when trading or exploring. No use for shields Thankfully I only lost 400k at the Diso CG so far because I was admiring the station a little too much Think when I upgrade to Type-7 I'll grab some shields too.

Being serious for a moment (it is hard for me but I will try ) Had I not been rushing as dinner was almost ready and I just wanted to get 'one more trade in' I wouldn't have crashed. It was my fault totally and I hit with such force shields may not have helped much!

I've been interdicted by NPC wings on rare occasions. It's a shock on how much damage they can do in a poorly defended trading ship before you can FSD out. I make sure I'm prepared now.

I ran my Type-7 without shield for a while but not for very long. My problem was when I would go to alt+tab and instead BOOST into a wall of the station.
