Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

With exception to a day and a half of making a ridiculous number of credits through smuggling I am having a hard time finding a good trade route now that Power Play is out.

My two main trade routes now lie within Torval's dominion and she has devalued all palladium to the point that my trades are brutally weak. So I was wondering if you nice people would help a guy out by sharing what you know.

I am not asking for exact routes just information like what I should buy or sell from X to Y faction. I have found that Torval seems to have the best price on Imperial Slaves, but I am having a hard time figuring out where I should sell them. Are Imperial Slaves even still the go to thing to trade?

Use this set the data age to 2-7 days and adjust your route accordingly. I am running round trips at 2900-3300cr.

Even at a discount Imperial slaves are not the best trade sometimes, because you have to deadhead. (outbound slaves, inbound empty)

Sweet, now I can get back to the game without having to live with sub 2k round trips.

My first question is what do you want to do ? A) have fun and discover B) get some help C) Max out your profit

A) In the commodities screen, the last column is useful: it can show what commodities are imported or exported and to/from which system.
Of course they only show a few and more lucrative roote might exist. Are you in the game to maxout you Cr or to have fun ? Go out and try.

B) In second, I certainly recommand this infography to have nearby on your secondscreen (pc or tablet) By the way if any one konw abouta similar infography that in "ink" friendly (It would be great to print it out and have it in paper form).
This is a sort of generic but realistic and immersive way of doing trade based on the type of comodities that type of systems.

C) And last but least, they are external tools that exist on the internet like eddb.io and www.elitetradingtool.co.uk/. Other tools exists of course. After some unsuccessfull trade route I eventually started using these tools. For a while this is fun, It helps you to acquire more rapidly precious credits to play with other modules and ships. Rapidly though, it becames evident that this is killing the fun (doeing ABA route, again and again). I reverted to A) or B)

Now I seldom repeat trade routes (or just a few times). I rather mix them with other self-established goal like go from system A to system B and find a commercial route by yourself, Exploir possible route from a system C or to a sysem D, try to dock to a different station more often, etc

Yah I knew about http://inara.cz/news and http://www.elitetradingtool.co.uk/ but http://eddb.io/ was new to me until soulmirror brought it up.

That infographic is helpful though and I do appreciate it. In the past I always just traded palladium for imperial slaves.

Inara is great, and so is Thrudds. I contribute to both. But for the last few days I have been using Trade Dangerous. Its a Python based Command Line trading tool and it is VERY powerful. I have taken to using Trade Dangerous Helper that is a GUI front end for it and I am very impressed. I also am pulling current port Data to send to EDDN with Trade Dangerous. I was using EDMarket Connector (uses the WEB API that ED uses for their phone app), but now Trade Dangerous does this as well. So I dont need to take the time with ELITEOCR and I there is a much higher (99.9999%) accuracy rate.

If anyone is interested, let me know and I can post more details.

I will still upload my stuff to Inara and Thrudds, but using Trade Dangerous for me is turning out to be a godsend in a T9. In my T7 it allowed me to make consistently over 3 million an hour. I wish more sites used EDDN.
