Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Yesterday finally bought a Cobra MkIII and made some SC in I-Bootis sector to see what i can do with this beast at "unknown signal" spots.

Find one near station, drop in, hardpoint deployed looking for some bad guy to shoot at

After few seconds came up a NPC in Lakoon (yay! free stuff !:P) asking me through comm channel to sell some "red crystals".

oh well: who's that guy ? How to interact with him ? And, moreover, where i can find "red crystals" ?!?!

Usually buy them crystals at your local hippy store. very over priced.

On a more serious note; I haven't a clue. Never heard of this before. Sounds fun though.

These guys are dotted throughout the galaxy. Basically they fly around buying different stuff at every location. If you are lucky enough to come across one of these and you have the right stuff they pay huge prices. For example I was once carrying around some tea on a trade run and came across a lakon 9 that wanted to buy tea. All you do is fly close to them, your cargo disappears and you get paid whatever they are offering. In my case I got double the value of the tea! You have to be lucky when you come across these blokes, you have to be carrying what they are looking for.

Ah, the flying close to them is good to know. I saw one that was offering to buy something (unfortunately, not anything I had) but didn't have a clue what I'd have done anyway.

Not a problem. I should add you see these guys here and there, they are usually looking for something pretty specific such as a type of technology or tea. They only ever look for one thing so it really is down to luck if you happen to be carrying what they are looking for. Very worthwhile though as I say they pay a lot!

Ive often wondered how that works. I thought it would be like requesting docking ... get a buy/sell screen from them.
Or tried getting a comms link with them . Ive never had any stuff they want though !!
