Logic problem... Moving ships

Postby smartroad » Sun Jul 05, 2015 7:59 pm

So all my ships are docked at Jameson Memorial. I have decided to go back to my 'home' system (i.e. the one I started in, which is now the original home of my games character lore) and I would like to move my ships to there.

At JM I have 4 ships, can anyone think of a way I can move them without having to by and sell a sidewinder for each trip?

Simple, if I could carry a ship back with me but I can't. Just a pointless logic problem!

the only way i know of moving your ships without buying a sidewinder is getting a hauler instead ;)

Yup. The U-Hauler is your moving van of choice. No way to have your ships moved without you piloting it.

Incredibly annoying and I like to think of it as another mini-game like Towers of Hanoi in space

Tip: check the distance for your flight in the sidewinder with the Standard 1C Fuel tank. Add fuel tanks in the Class 2 internals. If you go D rated everything, with an A rated FSD, and no shields, a stock Sidewinder can go 61ly till empty, with a 2C added fuel tank, its 168 ly, with another 2C fuel tank, its 284ly. Non stop is faster and you don't run the risk of Fuel Scooping to slow you down making you a target for Interdiction, lower cost for the scoop, and you don't have to refill the tanks to get all your money back.

This build: http://coriolis.io/outfit/sidewinder/02 ... =.Aw19A===
costs 197K and when you are done, strip it down and you end up only spending about 12K for the trip.
