Cheap pp ship

I need ideas for a cheap long jump range ship to have 10 cargo to do pp stuff in the fewest jumps. To save time as I don't get much time to play at present.

I'd look at the builds people use for exploration, those tend to have the jump range maxed. Probably the cheapest effective ship would be a Hauler, something like this:

Hi Rob,
If you can stretch to it a Diamondback Explorer is really sweet. Kits out magnificently and will give you a long term solution.
Not as cheap as the Hauler option, but worth looking into.

Dudley.

DB Scout also will work possibly though I don't know about the cargo room. I use my scout for PP stuff, I use it to interdict when doing undermine stuff... close to 30ly range, combat equipped, and cheap to replace/maintain.

Cobra. Good range, plenty of cargo, run from anything that stops you. Or you can outfit to fight, if you'd rather have a break from the deliveries.

It looks like several good options so far. God I love this group! :D

You probably already know this, but class "D" is the lightest weight modules and gain you the best jump range.... except that you should have a class "A" FSD. ;)

Here are a couple of build outs:

Cobra: It costs $2.12mil, laiden jump range 22.1ly and range of 131ly laiden

I just built this DB Explorer yesterday for the exact task you talked about. It costs 7.12 mil, laiden jump range 30.34ly, and range of 219 ly laiden.

Neither build has weapons. Hella jump range on the DBE and she can go forever on a tank. ;)

The issue that I forgot about when building the DBE is that you can only collect the PP cargo to deliver once every 30 minutes. With the DBE, I am doing a 120ly A-B-A run to drop off the PP cargo in about 15 minutes. Now I either do something in RL (God forbid), try to find a little trade run with my limited cargo space, pay to expedite the next load of PP cargo, or go back to where I store my ships and do something else. I really wish they would let us pick up the PP cargo more frequently.

Based on that statement, I don' t know if I'm going to keep the DBE. It's fantastic at making the long runs, (with nearly every expansion or fortification location 100+ ly away) but I can't do a whole lot else with it while I wait for the next cycle. I may switch back to using the Python, but I haven't had much luck yet finding profitable cargo runs while doing the PP cargo run. And... it's tiring traveling 100+ ly with a jump range of 13.4ly. Maybe I need to look around the delivery station area more for cargo runs to keep me occupied while waiting for that 30 minute clock to run down.
