this has only happened to me once so i have yet to file a bug report as i cannot reproduce the problem, I was in SC in the Byeri system hunting a wanted target and picked up a fine when interdicting them, has anyone else experienced this? its only 200 credits and i was already wanted but i think you'll agree its a little annoying.

also intersting since the game usually doesn't consider interdiction as a hostile action :S

I thought it had changed recently to make them hostile

yup, it usually only fines you if you interdict a clean target, interdiction of wanted targets is permitted as without it you couldn't bounty hunt while in SC.

Is it possible your interdiction tether was established before the wanted flag appeared?

I've hit countless known pirates with fire before my ship knew they were pirates, and received the corresponding punishment.

not possible in this case as when i first spotted my target it was coming directly towards me, the scan that revealed the wanted flag was over well before he passed me and i got into position to interdict.

i plan on experimenting a little more to see if i can reproduce the results on video, if i mange too i'll share it here so that between us we can try and work out the cause before making a bug report, 200 credits isn't a lot but if this happened to a n00b in open it would give people the perfect excuse to kill them without penalty, not really fair to someone starting out.
