Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

its going to happen, our group will become a player faction, but what shall we call ourselves?, and how many will support us as a faction?
I intend to create an independent faction that isn't allied to any superpower as our group is to diverse and if our group is supported by enough group members then with the amount of members it would only be a matter of time before we would be a powerplay faction.

How about just 'Mobius', if that is still available?
Having its home-sytem somewhere close by Eravate/LHS 3447/Sol/Founders World (or an Anarchy system around there), as we are large, very differentiated group, and anything else would be a swing towards a major faction.

Wow - I'm in. Happy to be working with real people instead of randomly generated NPCs.

Should we concern ourselves with what might happen in open? There are enough people who dislike the idea of PvE to try and compromise any PvE faction's power level.

I've not done the power play thing yet. so I'm not sure what there is to do. I'd hope it would have more of an independent flavor.

Since I at this point in time really despise all current powerplay factions I am onboard for pretty much anything, but I am not entirely against a possible name change and or a light rebranding.

The mobius pve group and the powerplay group doesn't really have to be one and the same thing nor mutually exclusive.
If that makes any sense.

In short I think mobius group needs to be able to continue as is (excellent work and do keep it up)
This could perhaps be an opportunity to do brand new along the same guidelines but perhaps a little more focused?

As for the name, I would put the article in "Order of the Mobius", like "Order of the Rose", so it clearly does not point to a person, but a principle.
(e.g. "Order of Rose" you would think that this is a woman)

And I agree, if there has to be something like a home world, it should be strictly independant or even Shinrarta Dezrha itsel, even if it is restricted to Elite pilots and Founders only. As it is strictly non-political and purely founded on principals on how to engage fellow memebers of the PF, this should just do fine.
It would be an ideological union of like-minded pilots. Like the orthodox branch of the Pilots Federation.
The PF already has other subgroupings, so why not just this one more?

@Xebeth: the emplem looks good, just a little crowded. I think the Mobius Strip has to be the main content, and the Elite Wings should be much smaller and not touch the strip. $my->"$0.02"

"Order of the Mobius" gets my vote, using founders world would exclude too many of our own. Being close to Achenar, Sol, Lave, Shinrarta Dehzra and Alioth brings us in a contested area and we'll be squeezed from all directions.
