Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Pretty much as the title says, they've confirmed in the latest newsletter http://us2.campaign-archive1.com/?u=dcbf6b86b4b0c7d1c21b73b1e&id=763bb19c70&e=27f39cc630 that we will be able to own multiple ships in Beta 3

Will be able to start building a fleet, will definitely have a Sidewinder, Eagle, Viper and Cobra dotted around. An Asp as well if I ever build up enough credits before the Gamma/Beta 4 wipe lol.

Too bad I have so little time to play. So now I will be able to own multiple ships I am not flying.

Thanks for posting that, I hadn't read that before and it has some interesting info.

Wonder what gambling there will be in game as it says you can win a ship as part of a bet, also didn't know they could be rewards for completing missions.

I've been looking forward to this since I heard about it. I hate figthing in the Cobra, it's just very unwieldly. I much preferred it in the Sidewinder. As I mentioned last night, there's a blog by someone who said you can beef up the humble Sidey into a real killing machine, if you know how. Have to look back through my history to try and find it again.

I'd like to have a Viper for combat and use the Cobra for collecting money in missions without having to worry about defending myself.

I saw a You Tube video where someone had souped up their sidey. Very good it was too.

I just got D4 rated thrusters in my Cobra last night and it's so much better manoeuvrability wise now. Speeds are impressive as well, on 4 pips to engines does over 300 and boost speed is 440 Curious if there are any D4 rated FSDs for it, have an E4 but not seen any D's.

I can't remember, I'm afraid. I did a lot of looking around for upgrades, but there was so much, and with all the data for each one it's hard to remember everything.

I succumbed to the $$$ anyway, and sold my Cobra for a Sidey and a couple of hundred kcr

Got a Viper now. Just need to spice it up a bit.

Oh, I wouldn't bother with the spray & pray cannon for the Cobra, or the straight-shooting missiles. The upgrade to more freight tonnage was quite cheap, though, and the docking computer was only 4,500cr and worked very well. Just have to put up with the poncy tunes.

Good to know about the thrusters - I didn't see any for the Cobra on my travels. Found some for the Viper, but was persuaded by the two resident alkies not to buy them

I made a note of the stations I saw them at as I was in the process of saving up for them (they cost just over 1.6 Million credits).

I've had, at most, about 20% of that - total!

So buying them would not have been an option, in any case.

I was on a direct course of haulage upgrades (Sidey, Hauler, Cobra, Type 6 etc etc) until I got presuaded over to The Dark Side, by persons who shall remain unnamed...
