is a 6A fuel scoop for an asp really 28m?

I was toying around with coriolis ship builder to determine what I need to fund the construction of my exploring ASP, and it says (I think...) that the 6A fuel scoop for the ASP is 28 million dollars?? is this right??

The next level down - the 5A- is 8 million... seems pricey but I'm curious...

Has anyone felt a noticeable difference and should I even bother w the Class 6? lol

Try the 6B it's only a little slower than the 6A but much cheaper. It scoops up very quickly

A5 or B5 are also sufficient. I have a 64T Fuel tank on the C6 slot

The A6 is amazing, though. It refuels you at nearly 900/second.

You could also look at the B6 scoop, no scoop has weight and although it costs a pretty penny at 9 mil it scoops at only a 125 per second less than the A6.

Either of these will be much better than necessary , but oh so worth it (if you can afford it that is)
Probably not on your first expedition.

Checkout the outfitting section in Inara. If you create an account and enter your current system it'll also tell you how far away they are from you.

Probably a little late in replying to your post as others have given good advice, but since I'm 8KLY from Sag A* and using a 6A fuel scoop (and a little bored) - I would absolutely recommend it for exploring. The scoop times are FAST and with some skill can fill an entire tank with very little heat build up, which is really important when your thousands of LY from a repair station. Heat is NOT your friend out in the black

Edit: I bought mine in Diaguandri for ~24Mil.
