Dark Regions

Hello,

I was exploring the Pipe[Bowl] region and came across this Dark region. It looks like a dark cloud of gas. There does not seem to be any way to jump into it (probably as there are no stellar masses inside it.) I tried jumping into a system that was right next to it to see if I could investigate the cloud. But the could does not seem to stretch into the system.

Anyone knows what these "Dark" regions are?

Thanks and regards.

Have fun, fly safe.

Dark regions or dark nebulae are nebulae types that absorb visible EMR rather than emit or reflect EMR. The Horse Head is an example of a dark nebulae.
