Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Today I was thinking I was upgrading my drive only to discover a new jump distance of less than 4 on my Cobra!
I had to buy a Transit van, peg it to a decent shipyard and buy another Cobra!
What a twat I am!

How about we get the standard ones out of the way first, like boosting inside stations. Anyone?

I haven't boosted in Station but I read a thread about background chatter that could be heard if you powered down all systems.

I turned everything off except life support and listened to the various noises, announcements etc.

After I while I went to Commodities and loaded up the "Transit Van", clicked on Launch, and completely forgot that I had no power, It was like being in a Tumble Dryer, I got spun around for a while before exploding spectacularly a few metres from the landing pad... doh!

In add on to the precedent threat of another commander, here my stupid move...

Had the cobra fitted out with over 30 cargo units and traded from one system to another, building money quite good. After heaving some good money and a bit fed up of only trading and cargo run missions, I decided to equip my cobra to a fighter! So I did... Found a station where I could buy 4 gimballed lasers at over 100k each! YES, READY FOR WAR, you say it!
I updraded also to a better Hull and Shield Cells, you never know ^^

Then I undocked, proudly overpowered and ready to bring anything down. Ok, let's first try not to die and take out smaller ships... any SW would do it! I searched some USS, and found them fast. I left the supercruise and stared around: where is the guy who doesn't know yet he is!.... AAAH, there we go..... MAX ENGINES tik-tik-tik-tik-tik, BOOST whuuuuuush...... DEPLOY WEAPONS (yeah, using voice attack, forgot to mention)..... Bzzzzzztcrkwhoum.

I'm in the OculusRiftDK2 too... for THE immersion feeling.

Suddenly, a helmet visor comes down, a message I could listen too, all lights went off, shield gone and I heard myself breathing..... "What the fuck?!" - "please watch your language commander......" response from voice attack!

BUT, the weapons where deplyed... but..... 4 mintues and 30 seconds? WTH?! .....

Well, I could have been happy that that little SW wasn't agressive neither understood my stupidness of not checking for a new powerplant ^^

That was MY learning session for that day

I have to ask, but why create a new thread instead of posting that on the Existing "Stupid Decisions" thread??

Ok! After I can hardly breathe again, I like to say thanks for the vivid pictures still occupying my mind.
Second, thanks for the tip! I remember watching some YT stuff about the preference of systems for energy distribution to at least solve that problem a bit... the number you can group systems to and the powerplant energy line below, showing what will shutdown first if powered up. The higher the number the earlier the system will lose power...
