NPCs at the Merope 5 C barnacle site?

Has anybody seen any NPCs hanging around at the barnacle sight at all?

I was hanging out there this evening with some fellow CMDRs and then all of a sudden, an Asp and a Python were getting shot at from seemingly nowhere, I entered classified camera mode, and saw that an NPC python was shooting at them (no CMDR before the name), so as soon as it stopped glitching out under the ground I took after it and after a lot of slow maneuvering, finally killed it. Which of course led to another CMDR mistaking me for the NPC and taking up chase before I managed to convince him I am a player and this is a PvE group hahaha

But I've never seen an NPC appear at the barnacle site like that, especially not to then start attacking players..

No harm done!

Flip saw an NPC anaconda and escorts in a ring system around there, although missions are bugged which can get you a forever re-spawning npc attacker that will follow you everywhere even to Sag A*.

Get all the way to sag a - everything 100% and an npc spawns and kills you... That would be the pain of all pains!

Would Fdev do anything because you would be raising a ticket! I think they wouldn't

I haven't so far, and I've been pretty much just living there for 3 days now. Haven't left the planet surface. Sigh, I'm beginning to know every rock and crater of that area...
