Question about Crime Stastistics

It is a bit cryptic for me what is meant on that panel :?

Found out that I had a galaxy wide bounty on my head due to ‘strange’ friend requests.
It is now dormant (3850 Cr) for 6 days, bought a sidewinder and let myself killed by a station.

I’m wondering what is meant by:
- Lifetime fines value  All fines I received & do they expire?
- Lifetime bounty value  bounty on my head till get killed?

I've always thought of it as a running total. The left panel shows how much fines you currently have. Also, there are some legacy fines which I think only show up after they expire and when you click on contacts in the station menu.

Yep, those numbers are statistics only showing what you have had over time. Left hand side panel shows the active ones.

Ah, probably nothing.
But got a friend request from cmdr ... who's name is not in the Mobius friends list.
I did not respond to his request ans saw it was withdrawn the next day. :o
looked at my right side panel and saw i had a bounty on my head :P

You may call it a weird feeling in the guts that Cmdrs sometimes have ;)

Ah, one of those feelings! :D
Coincidence. Friend requests have no influence on bounties.

Think a lot of people just throw out friend requests to any cmdr name they find in mobius.
What the recipient does with those are entirely up to them.
I doubt people take it personally (or at least I hope not) if you don't accept.

Personally I handle it the other way around. I hardly ever send friend requests but accept any get without question ;)

Pretty much the absolute opposite of how I handle my Facebook. To be on my friend list there is pretty much have to have had some degree of RL contact with you.

I always perk up when I hear about a bounty :P

Since the subject was brought up this is is what I've discovered about them :)

Let say you accidentally kill 5 clean pilots at a rez site...."but officer it was just a stray shot and then he shot me and then his wing men shot at me and well you need to read my post about rules" lol

Anyway I now have a 35,000 cr bounty on my head, 5K for each kill.

This will be active for 6 days. Now suppose during that 6 days you are killed or like the OP you commit suicide. The bounty now goes dormant and the timer is reset to 6 days. Ok so no big deal, right? Wrong! If you are scanned with a dormant bounty it is reset to active and the timer is reset back to 6 days! So killing yourself is not a solution. You have to have someone else kill you and collect your bounty.

Now moving forward, suppose you actually don't die and the bounty times out. Its now becomes a fine that is staring you in the face every time you go to that station. So what, don't pay it, "screw'em" is what I always say lol Well I had a 390,000 cr fine at the Thome station in HIP 16607 and I accidentally killed an internal security Anaconda :) I got a 5,000 cr bounty for the kill and the fine then became a bounty and the two were added together. WOW lol

So I've been playing for 3 months and my current active bounties are 465,000 cr way down from 4.7 million last week. I've been good, well sort of good. Lifetime bounties are almost 9 million and lifetime fines at about a million.
