Kamikaze flip?

I was hanging outside Azeban when flip zoomed past in his lakon.
I texted hi but he was in a hurry. Soon after he disappeared.
2 seconds later he came crashing back and smashed into the station!?
What was that about flip?

Yeah, I blame Diablo!
No, actually I didn’t even see your msg at that point (and when I saw it later, you weren’t here anymore). However that’s when I found out that the boost sends you forward even if you’re thrusting backwards.

It’s OK, I didn’t lose much, thanks to the insurance.
I had just loaded the game and had an empty cargo at that point. I just meant to get out and see if there was any activity before going back in and loading her. So I only lost 12000 cr or so. And I learned an important lesson.

Oh, I've done exactly the same thing when demoing the game to a friend. Leave the station, fa off, flip over to show the gorgeous view, think it's taking too long so boost. Followed by me screaming, "BOOST GOES FORWARD! BOOST GOES FORWARD!". Followed by me burying my hauler full of titanium into the station wall.
Ah well, we are here to learn from our mistakes.
