Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Spent 3 hours last night scanning high wakes at a station, a nav beacon, a RES and a port. Nada. Anyone have any luck scanning Datamined Wake Exceptions?

the clue is in the name 'data mined' - you get those from data caches you find in wreaks, i find combat aftermath's are the best.

and saying that i just picked one up outside George Lucas in Leesti lol

I was able to get some by Wake Scanning. It's just random. Keep trying.

I grabbed a couple out of just regular high wake scans.

it's just random bullshit as usual.
Could try resetting instance if you don't have any luck. This normally does another dice throw for the game.

Thanks for advice, guys. I'll try again. I wonder if a certain type of station or system is better?

You can scan player's wakes as well as NPC wakes for these, so maybe time to organize a meet, greet, jump, and scan party?

nav beacons are also a good place to grab scans, lots of NPC's jumping in and out all the time

Another 3 hours of scanning and dropping into USS and nothing. Just about to give up and then scanned a high wake and got a 3-pack. Guess where? Outside "Rafferty's Mobius" station.

And another 3-pack! Yay!
