Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Hi Everybody

A quick question. I'm tempted to reset my save and start my Commander over. My current assets are around 750 million, but I'm finding the game a bit blah at the moment as I find that I just spend my time RNGineering all my ships. Al lot of my assets were sourced using the myriad easy money making ways we previously had (Robigo, Ceos/Sothis, easy bounty hunting NPC's that never fought back etc). I think a restart may rekindle a bit interest as I will be forced to spend time working things back up without the old cash cows that have been removed in the 2.2 universe. Yes I understand there are still the massive cash cows out there, but this time around I will not be jumping onto them.

If I do the reset, would it also remove me from the Mobius PVE private group? I will be keeping my current commander name if that makes any difference.

will all the planet tags with my name stay or do they become unexplored nameless untagged finds?

A bit of a google shows that the First Discovered by stick to the old commander name.

My dozen or so discoveries are therefore safe it would seem..

In answer of my own question - cleared the save and can still access the Mobius PVE group (with my same commander name).

How about those 'first discovered by' planets, they still have your name on them, but I assume they are now unexplored to you as well ?

I think the scan status on systems and planets reset after 24 hours of selling the data.

I know I can't open system map for systems I have discovered on one of my few trips out.

Really?

I thought once scanned by you and the information sold to UC, they stay scanned forever until you do a commander reset. Will go back and check. I have 1st discoverer on a few systems I scanned a couple of weeks ago, book marked (love this feature.)

Edit: Just checked. The scan status stays after 24hrs. I can see the system map of systems I scanned a month ago.
