Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

i was watching Neon Raven's stream last night and he'd changed the colour of his HUD to a cool pale grey/blue with red highlights. It looked damn fine and this is how you do it...

As an example, this one is 'cool blue'...(sorry for image size...on iPad and can't resize it)...



You do need to restart the client each time you change it but hey, it's a hacky mod so is to be expected. Hopefully, ED will add this into the Options because it's only been requested since like day one! IMO, it could be hacky mod of the year.

EDIT: I had a look at it. It's definitely very promising but we're not there yet. The problem at the moment is that you can only alter the GUI as a whole. There's no separate settings for separate things. So for example you can make your whole UI blue, but then the messages that are better displayed in red (like Slow Down or Impact) are blue too and don't stand out enough.

However the fact that Frontier recently added these settings to the graphics config file shows that they're working on it, and that's great. Can't wait for their implementation as it will obviously have to take that kind of thing into consideration!

Agreed, it's definitely promising that the settings are now there but still a ways to go. I think they also change the colour of ships on the scanner at the moment which could be confusing.

Nice. I'd love purple and pink HUD, with maybe a little green.

I checked that: Neutral ones change like the rest of the UI, but friendly ones are still green. I didn't try shooting at someone to see if the foes are red, but since the green remain green, I assume the red remain red, there.

Think it needs a lot more playing around with to target specific parts, the station services are unreadable so reverting back.
