If you scan the Ancient Ruins obelisks for data, and have Ruin's artefacts in your SRV hold (like the Tablet or Orb), you may receive data if you got the corresponding mission from Ram Tan (which is automatically acquired though docking at his station).
The Canonn is compiling all data finds. Please complete:

I went there pretty much as soon as the news about the mission broke and was very chuffed with myself that I seemed to figure out what needed to be done. And was even naive enough to think FDev had changed their approach for this puzzle and it could be completed by all who tried, with a few hours effort. Then the more artifacts I came across and the more obvious it became that there are far too many combinations for one person alone to try, I decided to leave it to Cannon.
I'm surprised they haven't solved it by now lol

Do you need to unlock Ram Tah to get the mission?

No, just land at any port in the Meene system and you should get an inbox message with the mission.

Great, thanks.
Plan to hit the ruins this weekend.

will be trying again later tonight but was having fun yesterday on the data gathering front. Was finding i was getting "important incoming message" audio but no message then, at next oblisk getting the audio again and then received the message. took me a few attempts before i had worked out what was happening meaning all the notes i had scribbled down as to what i was doing was wrong. i also had put things in the canonn sheet and had to go back and take that back out.
hopefully today will be smoother

From what I've read on the cannonn thread you need to go to particular monoliths with two items and scan the monolith. And that if there's someone else nearby with one of the correct items then the scan will work.
So why don't 3 people get together, each one with two different items and then drive up to all the monoliths and scan them. In theory that would mean you'd avoid all the issues about having to have the right two items near the monolith because you'd have all of the items near the monolith.
Am I missing something?

This has been tested, though i can't remember the outcome. Someone mentioned even a probable ship-to-momolith support by hovering over it.Check the Canonn thread ... would be great for co-operative data scooping.

I have collected two of each (urns orbs caskets etc) and will gladly help out /teaming up in my asp while anyone wants to scan.
I'll be online during Saturday afternoon and evening CET.
Just add me, Cmd Brassisk if interested
** Update: I now have 27 million credits added, so 27 things discovered, i think. The trouble is you seem to get a lot more updates in openrather than a private group: The good news is I havent been blown up yet ,so it relatively safe.
Good luck and keep safe
