corrosive shells on my 4A Multi, shield penetrative pulse turrets, 2 thermal round size 2 turreted multi, thermal vented S3 beam lasers and shield regenerating small hard points. I even decked out the thrusts so it would really look like my spoiler made her go faster. positive resistance all across the board and i still only have the light weight alloys. im quite pleased. she got me into the top 10% of the Rahu Bounty event with 21 million credits in confirmed solo kills.
as of late i have been giving lessons on how to use the engineers to new players and a buddy asked me why most of my stuff was still stock. the only reply i had was "ill be right back."
I have also decided to make some tutorial videos since i taught more than 20 people the basics and even technical things you can do in ED.
if anybody is interested ill make another General discussion post with links when completed.

Oh yes, you can have a lot of fun with the Experimental Effects indeed. Some nice thingies out there! Phasing Sequence seems a bit ... pointless and Healers are god mode right now, and I don't know about Incendiary, but the other stuff is just nice. Corrosive on the C4 seems to do wonders

Oh and for those who don't care to cheat but want some extra boom, Overload Ammo seems not to vanish currently. Hopefully changed with 2.3.

I only visited my first engineer 40 days ago. Now I have all of them except 2 unlocked and my vette fully upgraded. It can be done, but some tasks to gather materials are boring and become tedious quickly,

More so when I've been driving around a planet following ghost signals on the scanner - then found out there's a bug, but it's an Intermittent one from what ive read so fd deny its a problem :-/

Oh yes, the grind is unnerving, but worth it.
As for SRVs, try to find mountain ranges/hills, there you should get a decent spawn even with the current scanner bug -- and listen to it instead of looking, I found the sound usually leads to a real find. Though vice versa, not all finds seem emit scanner sound.

I'll try ignoring the scanner and listen instead, I resorted to just driving around looking for the stand out sore thumb rocks to appear - so, very hit and miss
