Hi guys,

I'm happily hauling around in my u'hm.. Hauler. Making peanuts money in view of the most of your big fellow's but I'm getting there. So I figure my next trading ship is the Cobra?
Is there any benefit in keeping my Hauler around after I have bought the Cobra?
I probably should sell it so I buy immediate some bigger cargo bay's.

I've look into rare trading but with a jump range of 10LY that's not yet a economical option, doesn't it.

There is really no point to keep Hauler after you will buy Cobra. It has a little bit lesser jump range (with default FSD), but bigger cargo space and other benefits. It still be tough to do rare goods trades without significantly better Frame shift drive though. But Cobra worth the money. :)

The only reason I can see for keeping the Hauler is if you're risking buying the Cobra without enough to cover the insurance so you have a ship to 'fall back on'. Having said that the trade in price of the Hauler may be enough to cover the Cobra's insurance so what I have posted is pointless.

I'll leave it here anyway to be pointed and laughed at

Yep ...
As above. Also selling your Cobra shields will give you another 16tonne cargobay hold ( if you feel like risking it ) :)

It wont take you long to get a better FSD jump range on it.

My 'route' was sidewinder > Hauler > Adder > Cobra.
