Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Several folks have sent me txt in game, usually when im sliding into the docks under full boost or something else stupid and/or dangerous. The chat system is so awful and there is no logs feature so I can't even check the names for a proper shout out here. So hey guys! Sorry bout that hopefully they will improve it soon~

I've seen a few hollow boxes so far, I think all in Lave. Usually they are jumping out 2-3 seconds after I jump into a system. I've also been surprised at a station tunnel a couple of times. Lucky I was on the green side as someone came boosting out the center. As I'm not using shields, a hit like that would kill me.

I'm no Chatty Cathy myself, and I'm not sure I would be able to use the chat system if I tried. I think most commanders are too busy doing their own thing to really notice other commanders. I haven't even got another commanders name yet. I still feel it may be a little rude to turn on someone and target them. I would be nice if the contact list would show commanders - not just ship types.

Now I'm over 100LY away from Lave and I don't even see any other commanders in open play (just had to check).

Indeed, the chat system is slightly less than useless currently, I'm sure I've missed several messages whilst trying not to crash my ship navigating through the dreaded toaster rack....

I hope this is something that can be improved on eventually.

I did however discover after some research that pressing 2 brings up the 'chat box', W scrolls up and A scrolls down, though it doesn't seem to retrieve old messages?

Ha sinice joining this community 2 days ago I've been on for 6 hours or so and all over the place and have yet to see any player commanders, but then again I'm in a different timezone than many of u so no worries. I think it will get much better with the 1.2 Wings update!
