Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Finally have an ASPX prep'ed for mining, after the bonus from Eravate GC - I got to the top 10% BH's not bad hem?!

One question on mining. How do I know where to find mining material X?
Is there a way to know or trial and error?
Maybe a web site like eddb, to make the process of finding X quicker?

Typically you want to mine in a pristine metallic ring (unless you're doing ice mining, then it's a pristine ice ring). Rumor has is that if you are closer to the inner edge of the right the spawn rate is higher. Dunno if that's true or not.

Do not mine in a RES site. Just drop into the ring somewhere. There will probably be 1-3 NPC's that come to check on you (and shoot if you have cargo). Once they leave, you can mine in peace.

If you are looking for rocks for engineer upgrades, then you want to go prospecting.... not mining. Use eddb to see what planet has a decent percentage of rock X that's not too far from you, and go blow things up.
