Finding friends / group members

Postby Skipp » Thu Jan 01, 2015 6:52 pm

Is there any way to see which Mobius member is online and where he/she is in the game?

Is there a way to check your personal friends and their status? Like the contact list for example? If no - are the developers planning to include such a feature - like in regular MMOs? Friends lists, and chat?

Yes and no.

- In game, you can only see those you added to your friends list (which is why we have this thread). Then, from the comms window you can see if they're online and contact them (when it works), but you can't see where they are.

- From the main menu, click on "Friends and private groups", then on the "Group" tab select "Mobius". You'll see a list of the members who are online, with their location, and a list of the members who are not online. Or you would, if the size of our group didn't exceed what FD assumed would be enough. Basically, at the moment the game times out when it tries to grab the list of members from the server. This has been reported and we're waiting (impatiently) for a fix (especially as that problems prevents Mobius to accept the new join requests).

There is the comms window in game. Press the 2 key to open it. It only displays your online friends, and the players that are currently in the same system/instance as you. From there, you can start/answer a chat or a voice session without someone in the list.
