Now what?

Having no other idea how I'd get a decent Frame Shift Drive and Powerplant, I headed (with no cargo) to LHS 2764A via LHS 2884 and ROSS 1019 because this spreadsheet (https://www.dropbox.com/s/tdjrcjhhzripf ... tting.xlsx) showed that LHS 2764A was the place to go.

No Frame Shift Drives nor Powerplants for sale. Bollocks. So I check on the trading tool (http://www.elitetradingtool.co.uk/) and see that trusty Eranin (Azeban City) needs Basic Meds. So I add 22T of Basic Meds.

I'm blocked. I cannot go any further with my cargo than the surrounding stars, and I cannot hop to any other stars as an intermediate step to be on my way.

This is dumb. If this is the Beta for exploring, then they need to have the resources to explore (FSD + power) available. Why stop people linking a website showing people where they can buy components? It smacks of control, and their (Frontier's) inability to accept that people will try to use the available information to their advantage.

OK, there's a Frame Shift Drive bug. If you buy a FSD, then quit the game and go back in while still in the dock. You'll then be able to use your precious new FSD to hop further than you've hopped before.

I had the same thing when I upgraded the FSD in my hauler...couldn't jump or supercruise away from the little outpost I was docked at. It was late so I just quit for the night and it magically worked the next time I logged in. I did read about the bug later and thought, "Ahhh....".
