Thanks for clearing this up, I learned this lesson earlier today - arrhhh.. What might be handy is to have a FSD scanner, then follow the "clean" pilot until he jumps, then scan and jump, hopefully the next system he will be wanted.
Only problem with that at the moment is that you can't pull them out of SC (wonder when that is coming in???)
