Very good - but not quite perfect, yet :)

Only failed to pick up the mouse scroll wheel (Scanner +/-) & 5/6 of the "T" switches...
T1 - resume Nav course
T2 - Wingman 1
T4 - Wingman 2
T5 - System Map
T6 - Wingman Nav Lock

It's still going to be useful though, for when I start writing more macros for Roccat Powergrid.

Can you explain what the T switches are, and which ones are which?

Also, on the mouse scroll wheel is it not showing the sensors range at all or is it mapped to a different control?

These are the T switches, from your reference sheet:-

The mouse wheel, I noticed when preparing this shot, also does not show that I use it's push function as 'Deploy Hardpoints'. This is the only control these functions are mapped to, I don't use the keyboard in-game - except, when I can't avoid it, for comms msgs.

That is excellent. One click as well. This is going to make setting up Voice Attack a whole lot easier.

Cheers, de Carabas!

Hmm... looking at your binds file it appears that these aren't configured. Could you take another look at it, perhaps the upgrade to Horizons mucked it up?

I've set up the mouse wheel click. Not sure about exactly how this is shown in the binds file: it appears to show up as two separate buttons for the wheel turning left and right rather than any rotary-type function. How do you find that this operates?

Perhaps it's better to refer to the mouse wheel as 'up' & 'down' rather than L & R.

For me, it's down to increase sensor range, up to decrease. Works OK. They show as X52PROB17 & X52PROB18 in the options screen, I think. Button is X52PROB19.

I checked the binds file & yes, the update (1.5) screwed it up again. I've re-done the T key binds (again) & now your reference sheet is spot-on except for the mouse wheel. Button works fine :D

My url for your site is http://www.mcdee.net/elite/binds/jlpwwp

(O.T. - I've tried every suggestion on the 'net for how to get the thumb-mouse to do anything in game but no luck. It's a Saitek/MadCatz problem, not an FD one, I believe.)

Cheers jgm, for explaining the Mod button on the official forum (I feel daft not knowing that all this time :|) So simple to do. I will probably make changes to my new profile but I'm looking forward to not having to look down at my gamepad :)

Okay given the info above it sounds like although it's physically a wheel it's tracking as buttons, so I've added up and down buttons to the template rather than pretending it's an analogue control. Take a look now and see if it make sense.

One thing to note: up and down can be a bit strange on items on the back of the hat so I'm assuming that when you say 'up' you mean the motion that if your finger carried on moving would move it away from the base of the throttle rather than towards it. If not then let me know and I can swap them around.

Yep, that's how I see it.

- and yes, it's set in X-52 software to act as buttons, not a wheel. Only way to make it useful!

Working fine now, link is now http://www.mcdee.net/elite/binds/jgmirk

Great work :D

Okay the Warthog has made it to the top of the list. Feel free to either join in on the Frontier forums at https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=212866 or to fill out the template there and post it here with your custom binds file for me to take a look at.

It's definitely one of the more complex HOTAS, so if I've mucked up any of the controls please do let me know.
