I am definitely not A-rated, which is how I keep my jump range at 25ly. 6C shield generator, A7 (not A8) distributor, C8 powerplant, D-rated thrusters, etc. I do have a top-rated FSD though.

This makes me impervious to pirates, but it might get chewed up in a war zone. When I ditch the fuel scoop and SRV hangar, I can carry 400 cargo though, and that's mainly what I wanted an anaconda for. If I get my mittens on a cutter, that will probably become the armored trader, and then I may go for more of a combatconda, though I do like having a ship with long legs like that. (Not looking to go Asp or DBX, because I know how easily I can kill them, and how hard I had to fight against pythons and clippers in an Asp.)

I do mostly trade with my conda but it's not really fitted as a trader except the shield and cargo racks. Intentional, so I can retrofit it quickly to a full combat configuration by changing the shield and adding some SCBs. If I ever get a cutter, it will definitely replace the conda on trading, the conda will become combat only probably unless I take it out for exploring, if you configure a conda for exploration it can go very far!

I use this Tradeconda build.

Yeah there are ways to make it cheaper or have longer jump, but i really don't like having no shield and it was really painful flying with minimal drives

Put on a fuel scoop, and that looks like an exploration build.

Why? Because 38ly jump range. I'm usually ecstatic when I can break 20ly in most ships. I think my Anaconda gets like 23.

Yeah Conda and only Conda can do that :)
I will change it to Cutter though as soon as i can. Mostly because of cool views and 700+ tonnes of cargo :)

I absolutely adore my Cutter. It more than holds its own in combat with NPC pirates, but the handling takes some getting used to. Driving it is a physics lesson.

I would love to use it as an exploration ship, but it's nearly impossible to get a decent jump range out of the thing, even if you leave it pretty much undefended, which I would never do. I will also say that landing on planets with gravity higher than .3 gets a bit challenging.
