Ultimate exploration guide

Postby Skipp » Sat Mar 19, 2016 9:12 am

I just wrote a big starter guide for new explorers feeling the itch to head out into the big unknown. It consists of general advice, ship fits and ofcourse - the ol' neutron star field jackpot location for those who need that extra stretch to rank up really fast (well - faster than just randomly jumping and scanning).

You can find it here.

Nice guide, thanks. What's the nearest bunch of neutron stars to Sol? Are there any relatively close? You mention Clookie UO-Z D13-22, is that far out?

Edit - just re-read it and saw "go out more than 10,000 lightyears to find a decent field of neutron stars."

You might want to add that in the future explorers are advised to take weapons, at least for defense.

As stated by Michael Brookes in this recent live streamhttps://youtu.be/Gaoem7l1Qwg, skip to 7:00mins to hear the words.
