High res are 4 times your selected resolution.
So on my system where I downsample from 2560 x 1600 to my monitor's 1920 x 1200, that's 10240 x 6400. Quite large files, in bmp (about 200MB, on my machine)!
And I didn't try in open, but I know high res work in private groups (be ready for your screen to freeze for several seconds, though).
