Is it possible to change the colour of the 'Mission Target' - text in the UI, it is currently almost impossible to see unless facing a star or some other bright object ?

Sorry for the large image, I don't know why it shows up here in larger size than it actually is.

It’s not possible to change, but it has been reported and FD confirmed that they’re aware of this problem so it should hopefully fixed soon.

As Flip says this was reported as a bug in 1.4 beta, but it must be a very difficult task to fix as it has been "worked on" read ignored for the best part of two months.

I guess it could have been labelled 'low priority' and is on the back burner while they deal with bigger bugs? Shame it has taken this long as it was okay before 1.4

I wonder if we will see some UI changes with Horizons and the fix is being rolled into those

Yeah, if only they could stop breaking what works!

I haven't seen this myself. I'm just wondering if changing your interface brightness makes it more visible? If so, it probably makes the rest of the text less visible. Anyway, I just wish you could pick a comfortable interface brightness and have the cockpit glass automatically brighten or darken behind the panels to make the text easy to read whether the background is a bright sun of the pitch blackness of the void.
If I'm not mistaken, they already do something about darkening the cockpit glass near suns so you don't go blind. I've been wondering for a while what happens when your canopy gets blown out near a sun and you turn to face the sun. Does it become blindingly bright? I've only had my glass blown out in my Vulture in CZs near planets so I've never been able to check this.

I've tried several HUD color schemes trying to 'work around' the bug, but no luck. It's frustrating as hell for a guy like me who does a lot of 'kill X' type missions. It can be confusing if it's a pirate kill mission because not everyone with a bounty on their head will be a pirate, and some pirates don't have bounties. So you REALLY need to be able to see the 'mission target' identifier.

THIS is the one bug that is getting my goat.......As I do a lot of PK missions......
I now have to look at the left hand panel and see if the ship has a "Details" box under the bounty....
If it does it's usually a mission target....
