Plotting a Course to Sagittarius A

Hi
I want to plot a course from Sol to Sag A, but my course plotter won't/can't do it.
I guess I could navigate manually but the distance is so vast that I could vary easily get lost and not realise I'm going in the wrong direction.
Can anybody, particularly those who have been there, be able to offer me some advice on how to find my way to Sag A?
Thank you vary much.

The max you can do is 1000ly per plan
I started a long exploration mission and used nebulae as my targets on my way. Unfortunately OoM went to war and I had to turn around lol

You can navigate a max of 1000ly at a time. My normal routine is to zoom out, orientate to the direction I want to go in, zoom back in until individual stars are listed and then move forward to just under the 1000ly. At certain points in the trip you need to keep an eye out for scoopable stars and spot the reach seam of neutron stars etc.
EDIT: semi-ninja'd!

You can only plot up to 1000 ly at a time.
Basically you just need to orientate the galaxy map and move to a point 1000 or less ly in the direction of the core and plot to that point, rinse and repeat.
However, when you get close to the core 5000 to 6000 ly the star density is so high the computer will not be able to plot a course (because there are so many possibly combinations for it too run through), when you reach this point travel up or down by 1000 ly and then plot your courses, when you are approx above or below the centre start plotting short routes in the appropriate direction

When looking at the galaxy map, how can you tell which stars are scoopable?
And what do you mean by
the reach seam of neutron stars?
Thank you.

Scoopable stars are K G B F O A M, in the galaxy map use the filter and turn of all the others then you'll only see the scoopable ones on the map.
I think they meant rich seam (as in a lot together), at about 10k out and 1k down (and in other areas) there are loads of neutron stars close to each other, neutron stars are worth a lot of money

The galaxy map's grid coordinates are great for picking next plot. And keeping to the same general direction (sol is 0 btw)
As for scoopable stars you can deselect all the star types in your filter under My class.
Or hum FOGKBAM.
Or "Oh Be A Fine Girl and Kiss Me".
