Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Hi

Suddenly I cannot play EDH. I was playing it earlier today with no proplems.

I have not changed anything on my PC (Win 10, nVidia GPU)

When I click on the game in the Steam client to launch the game, nothing seems to happen. So I press PLAY again and I am told that an instance of the game is already running. If I press CTRL+ALT+DEL I can see in the task manager that the EDH launcher is running, but it's nowhere on my desktop, it's as if it's invisible.

I have tried verifying the game files, delete the appcache in the Steam folder, but still nothing.

Any ideas before I uninstall and re-install the game?


Interestingly enough if I opt to launch EH the orange launcher shows, but if I opt to launch EHD, no launcher shows.

I assume you've tried rebooting, though you didn't list doing so.

Yes, I have rebooted a couple of times.

I think it safe to say Fd are really having some launcher issues for the moment.

Have you tried to launch the launcher directly without going through steam?
A lot of problems seems to be related to sta4ting the launcher through steam.

Yes I tried to launch without Steam but nothing happened. I uninstalled and reinstalled EDH but it still won't work. Other games I have in Steam, such as Subnautica and Skyrim launch with no proplems.

Had to uninstall not only EDH but the entire Steam package, including my other games, reinstall and now it works.

And yesterday a lot of people, myself included, could not see 2.1 in the Launcher. We were advised to go under Options in the Launcher and select 'Log Out Machine' and wait 5 minutes before logging back in. Worked for me after some time.
