Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

KK, so I was on a planet surface having dismissed my ship.

When I recalled it, it landed vary close to me and just hovered with no landing gear down. I was able to board it with no proplems but as soon as I was in the cab the ship started moving forward.

This has only started happening since the Engineers update.

Has anybody else experienced this?

I had this happen before the engineers dropped to.
I guess it's something they allow for when the ship can't find a decent spot anywhere near.

Not so bad as I had yesterday when the ship misjudged my current location height with the top of the canyon wall it was trying to land on..

In short it smashed into the ground and I could only watch as my pythons hull dropped to 20%.

Yep......Looks like someone else has recalled a ship and it face planted into the planet and exploded.....

I saw a video on YouTube where somebody landed on a 10G planet. He sent his ship away and when he recalled it, it came in hovered and then just smashed heavily onto the surface >.<

Not had it happen to me, but I have had it where the ship couldn't land because I'd driven my SRV underneath it.

I had the exact opposite problem: The ship landed in very slightly hilly terrain, and the distance between ship and ground was not big enough to drive into the boarding area. The rear part of the ship was accessible, the front not.

Fix: Dismiss ship, drive a few meters forward, recall ship to have it land with me directly in the boarding zone.

Like this, you mean?



I thought it would land on the high ground and I would go to it, but there you go, there's AI and AI.
