Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Hello,
I've been taking missions to get commodities for the RNGineers and therefore have come across missions I've never tried before. One of these is taking out emplaced power generators.

I went to the base and scoped it out. It seems that the power generator is behind a wall of buildings.
I tried climbing the structure in my SRV but as the gravity of the planet was 1.6g I did not seem to be able to scale the wall.
Next I tried scanning the public access data points. Found only 2 of 3. Think I must have missed one obvious one. That did not seem to help.
Then I scanned a private security terminal. This made me wanted and I got attacked by everyone but did not seem to open up a breach in the wall.
I then tried to get to the generator using my ship. Could not specifically target the generator and got blasted by ground defence, which ironically took some time to cut through my SRVs shields but had not problems slicing through my 5A prismatics.

So question:
1. Do I have to scan all the public access data points to open up the wall?
2. Do I equip my ship with rockets and just do bombing runs?
3. Or do I do some edge walking and drive my SRV onto some beams that I see attached to another accessible building to get to the generator?

When I was doing these missions it was dumb fire missiles from the ship in bombing runs that did the trick.
I don't recall any issues with targetting the power generators.

Edit: The missiles thing did not work. So resorted to brute force method. Scanned the security hub, this brought the wall down, then shot at the turrets and then blew up the generator. Finished mission with a 3800cr bounty on my head.

Two versions of power generators? Thinking about it I've not done a ground assault type mission since before 2.1 dropped so maybe changed.

Yeah, base assault missions used to be fun.

Now they are just suicide.

If the station defenses doesn't get you, the faction that owns it will send a ship after you.
If you are lucky that's an anaconda or something, those tend to miss your SRV enough so you can get out.
But if it's a regular police viper\eagle, well those usually kill me in two-three shots..

Yup. That's what happened to me on my second Emplacement Generator mission. There were 3 targets and I realized I only had to shoot 1. The 1 I choose was outside the trespass zone. After I blew it up, an Eagle shot my SRV to pieces with rails. Completed the mission anyway.
