Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Anyone having the same experience?
My Asp has the Golden paint job active, which was given for free to Horizon owners.
When I did some camera shots, I already wondered why the color would be so black despite a moderate light source in the vicinity. Now even a fellow Commander could confirm that my Asp shows black, as if having Black Friday instead of Gold. So it cant be my graphics card.
I double-checked in outfitting, and "Gold" is installed.
Even in outfitting, "Gold" now turns out to have a dull flat colour, not at all as vibrant as it has been before.

As in the screenshot, the Commander's ship shows nice light, yet my Asp is just black. We tried different angles.

I noticed the Gold paint appear when I was refitting my Asp after an exploration trip so I slapped it on. I haven't tried a screenshot yet, she's parked up at Shinrarta. I'll have a go next time I'm there...

Very strange. Have you tried resetting it to gold in the outfitting screen?

Never heard about black gold?

Could be worth a try. Yet it also shows golden on a landing pad, so it is applied correctly. Yet as soon as light is below 1000 W plus optimal direction, it turns first dull yellowish and then pure black ...

I wonder if it's related to the 'clear' corvette's that me and my wingmen have been seeing lately. At certain distances in the RES, our Vette's turn clear with just a ship outline. At most distances they are displayed correctly.

The game hasn't been updated recently, so I wonder if it's video card driver related.

Is it Gold and Black? Or is it really Blue and White?
