Have they nerfed the buggy?

I should probably be asking when? I swear I can't get above 25 - even going down hill. If I turn drive assist on I can hit 30. In the past I would go slower with drive assist on and could go twice as fast as I can now with it off. Maybe it's just bad traction on low g worlds? I calibrated my throttle so I should be getting full range on it. And that's with 4 pips in engines.

It does seem slower to me as well, but I too have only been on low G worlds.

Doesn't seem any different to me, I was always lucky if I could get to 30! 40 if I was on a high-g and heading downhill!

Guys,

Lori and Tor managed to get 135 out of a buggy.. - mind you they were in free fall at the time :D

Buggy speed "feels" like it's slower - you could hit and hold up to 36-40 before..?

As suggested, maybe it's down to G's..?

I had something similar with the 2.1 beta.
Turns out it was my throttle wasn't really maxing out to 100% and they had changed/tweaked some of the curving on buggy throttle rate, recalibration a little short in either end sorts it.

You can test by making a key bind for 100% throttle, if it goes faster then it's worth checking.

Yup, I remembered to set my throttle a little short from before, but apparently I didn't leave a wide enough gap. I tried it again, doubling the gap to a squished pinky tip width, and now I can reach 32 vs. 25, so that appears to have solved the problem. :)

I couldn't figure out a way to keybind 100% throttle for the buggy, but for the ship I get 210 with both the throttle and keybind.

Also, I think my config somehow got deleted. I'm sure I had some curves on the mini stick, but they were straight. So I reset those, and also calibrated them a little short to ensure full range.

FD really should have an in-game calibration range check - like they had on DOS games 30 years ago.
