It is a pain to be interdicted when you don't even have any cargo, and then to be rammed by the Sidey, that you were beating up, and having to pay the 3K to get your eagle back is annoying to say the least.
I don't really know what mechanic they are testing with interdictions in Gamma, but at least in Beta if you had no Cargo they would let you go. Hopefuly in Release it will all be sorted.

What I find a pain in the derrier is being interdicted when the countdown to hyperspace is nearly completed, It just messes my brain up....

Always tickles me when you're 2 seconds from the station and you get interdicted.
Beat up the NPC / run away...
and BLAM - you're now 45LS away from the damn station!!!
HOW??!!!!

Yeah I noticed this, I kept meaning to raise a ticket. Does anyone know if this is by design? Is the act of interdiction wrenching your ship 30ly off course or what?

I read somewhere that you ended up at the interdictor's location. That would explain it.

Yeah, it would.
Sounds crazy though.
How it should work (IMHO), is that when you get interdicted, you drop to normal space where you happen to be at the time your evesion failed / you submitted to interdiction, and the ship who's interdicting flies to you & drops in same instance.

Just a though here ... but ,,., being interdicted , is like .. being a lil fishy out there ... then someone starts reeling you in .. and you're fighting against it ... that's what its like ... a battle of wits .
So ... they " reel " you in .. therefore you are at their mercy of being put in the catchnet ... so its then up to you how well you can fight / evade capture ...
That's all I see it as ... Interstellar fishing ..
