Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Hey all. I just started playing again after a break and something seems to have changed. I am at Baron in the Empire and now have enough to progress to the next rank but don't see any of the promotion oppertunity missions that used to handle that. How do I get my new rank?

Find an empire faction you are allied with and do a couple of missions then return to that station. It will not show the old Rank Up Icon or Type of mission on the board, you will have to check for Federal Navy for the Federation and and Empire "something or other I forget" for the Empire.

I was confused when I started working on my rank again and wasn't seeing the missions either. Took me a while to see that it was there.

I guess you are in an area that spawns rank missions rarely or never. Quince?

No matter. You can continue your grind. You're not loosing progress. Once you're back in another system where you can get rank missions - i. e. Wu Guinagi - you do that mission and end up at let's say 38% of the next level.

I mainly opperate out of HIP 20277. I do have a bounty there right now, could that be holding it up? I will check out Wu Guinagi as I think that's close by.

Afaik the bounty should not influence the appearance of navy missions.

Wu Guinagi spawns them often. So you can wait/relog to find one that is easy to solve.

Okay, Wu Guinagi is dried up--anyone know an Empire system spawing the promoton missions current? Could use a fe one as well actuall.

I frequent the same area and had a similar issue. Kamadhendu, Bunuson and Yarrite had missions when I made Marquis last week. I'd suggest looking for high population systems (guess on my part).
