HUD elements

I've noticed in some videos the ships hud has an extra option on both sides of target reticle, looks like an elevation indictor similar to F16 hud. Looks like a ladder with positive and negative values.
Anyone know if this is a selectable option or mod add-on?

It's the planetary hud elements that engages as soon as you approach a planet.

Ahhhh that makes sense it's a landing elevation indicator.
Just a noob here who hasn't done any planetary landings yet.

The first time I landed was darn scary. I did way more planetary landings before I landed at a base. That was easy.
