So all is set. Will do the reformat and install of Windows 10 tomorrow morning. Assuming all goes well, will be back in game in the evening.

I use Windows 10 since its first day of release and I have never had any proplems with it. It is the most stable and reliable Windows I have ever used (I've used XP, Vista, 7 & 8 on my home computers). I think Windows 10 is also the best for gameplay too. I am vary pleased with it.

I'm also using the latest win10 beta drivers for the pro and have it plugged into a usb2 port on the back of my logitech wired keyboard .

Have no issues with this configuration.

Loriath - please let us know how the upgrade works! I've been holding off for the exact same reason; X52 Pro.

Just out of curiosity, how do you set up your HOTAS? I've got mine attached to a sheet of acrylic (ye olde Home Depot) with a powered hub so I can just pull out the keyboard tray and drop it in position, plug in two cables, and I'm ready. Added bonus is adding a strip of LEDs on the upper edge so the whole installation glows. But I'm always looking for better solutions!

Currently, when unplugged, they stick and throttle sit on top of my desktop speakers. I have a large non-slip mat on my desk and simply move the keyboard forward and put the sticks on the mat. The cable between them runs behind my monitor stand and I just curl it up on either side when not used. When I plug them in, I have a USB extension that runs down to my USB hub that is on a shelf above the PC where I also have my Headset and EDTracker Pro plugged in.

Once I have caught up on messages here, and had a little more coffee the upgrading starts. Will let you know when I am back online how things went. Worst case, it all goes to hell and I need 2 hours to put the Win7 Image back online that way.

They are backed up daily, as are my logs, my config files, my Voice Attack files :) Like I said earlier, been there done that.

Back up and running and it appears that the drivers HAVE fixed my issue. I am 99% complete just a couple of small apps to install but nothing vital.

If its a standard install from frontier, look in
C:\Users\Your Username\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings

This is a Hidden folder, so you may have to enable View Hidden Files and Folders in Windows Folder Options.
