Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Hello.

Im new to this game and just started the tutorial. I have a issue with my Hotas X56 setup. It actually works fine, but when im in the tutorial and need to press a switch or button, the tutorial ask me (for an example) to press Joy button 3 or 5 or whatever button, problem is i dont know where these buttons it on the throttle or joystick ?

How do i navigate through these buttons.

Another example i have to press joy button 8 to retract hardpoints. Thats nice if you know where joybotton is ?.

Is there a schematic or anything that shows where all the joybuttons is ?

Welcome to the game and Mobius! the learning curve in E-D is super steep, and while the X56 is a GREAT HOTAS, there's a learning curve there too.

I own an X56 and love it, by the way.

If that doesn't match yours, to see what button/knob/rotator is what, open 'game controllers' in Windows. You can just search it on the taskbar, and it should pop right up for you. Go into the Properties for each device and it will show you what Windows is calling each button. That may or may be the same as what E-D is calling it, but it's a good start.

Sooner or later you'll probably create your own keybindings in the game, but the default setup will get you going.

I just reassigned all the keys to where I wanted them, Better to set it up the way you want now than later. My x56 just came in the mail y2 days ago.
