Well just treated myself to a new Gtx 970 unfortunately it looks like my Psu might not quite be up to the task. Having a look around narrowed it down to a couple of options Antec True Power 650W 80 Plus Gold Power Supply Unit
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00HGFYGOS/ ... 3vbAKDHATZ. Or this one XFX 650w XTR Gold Fully Modular Power Supply Unit
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00I5HF0KU/ ... 3vbEM68KFV anyone offer any opinions on either of these or suggest a better option?

BeQuiet PSU's are good, like the Antec True Power they also come with a 5-year warranty but are a bit more expensive.

Cheers will have a look. Would prefer modular makes it a bit easier for cable management. Which actually rules out the antec one I posted lol

I have a Novatech 650W modular which is a nice quiet PSU - running an Intel i5 2550K and a GTX 960

I have an Antec 850W, Im on an overclocked and watercooled i7 (4.5GHz) and sli'd 6950s and 16G ram (machine is 3-4yrs old), I'd always opt for the biggest psu you can get to avoid future upgrade issues such as another 970 in sli mode.
