Nvidia Driver Caution

Don't know if anyone else has had issues but the latest Nvidia drivers, dated 10/07/2016, broke my game.
I'd been playing Horizons and, when I stopped for a break, noticed that Nvidia was notifying me of a driver update.
I did the update and all seemed well. That was until tried to play Elite.
The game appeared OK up to the point where the Start option appears. The game went to the spinning ship screen and just sat there....
I tried Horizons & non-Horizons versions, restarting the launcher and re-booting the PC. Same result every time.
I've now been into Device Manager and done a driver roll-back and that has fixed it.
So there' s definitely something strange in that update that doesn't agree with my system.
I tried other games and it seems that Elite was the only thing affected....
Strange one, and I think I'll wait for another release to come along before I update drivers again!

I see that they now have version 368.81 (dated 2016-07-14) available for download. I have a GTX 780, currently using 368.22 (2016-05-23). I haven't had any problems so don't go out of my way to keep the drivers updated to the latest.

GTX980 with the latest drivers and no issues.
I thought the problems were SLI related, even if the game does not use SLI.

ED does use SLI, and I've been using it for 1.5 years (2x 970s), though I wish I just bought a 980 to begin with. There are some graphics issues that appear to be SLI related, but nothing so far that has kept the game from running for me. I generally upgrade drivers when the nag me.
PS. VR doesn't support SLI, so that may be the same thing to some people.

Something new of mine has a major memory leak. But I'm more inclined to blame the Oculus Rift drivers than nVidia ones. GeForce GTX 980 Ti BTW.

Theres been a few reports on this on the fd forums with bug reports etc.
https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthrea ... emory-LeakI haven't noticed anything so it doesn't seem to be that wide spread to be honest.

Thanx!
I've been using 8GiB DDR3 UDIMMs since LGA-1155/H6x/SandyBridge products hit with the option for such. So all dual-DIMM systems have 16GiB, like my Mini-ITX boxen, and quad-DIMM systems have 32GiB, like my true quad-core (8-thread) i7 notebooks.
Hence why my 16GiB gaming systems don't have issues for several hours. Although it was really annoying when I got the window, which popped up and suddenly I couldn't avoid the sun as it took the focus from my controls!
