X 55 Throttle

Anyone else using the X 55 having problems with the throttle setting? I have to rebind my throttle every time I log on, the binding appears to reset itself to none when I log out. This only applies to the actual throttle, all the other buttons etc. work fine. Perhaps I am doing something wrong but I thought I would ask anyway just in case.
It isn't 'that' much of a problem except for the times I forget and launch only to find I have to pause and set the binding.

You mean every time you log on in Windows, or in game? I don't have a problem specifically with the throttle, but each time I reboot I have to select my profile again. I do it from the processes menu at the right of the taskbar, by right-clicking the Rhino icon. When that icon is white, it means it hasn't loaded a profile, as opposed to green when it has.

I am playing without a profile and have no problems whatsoever. Set the dead zones in game.
Strange phenomenon you have there.

When I log into the game. I don't use a profile either just the bindings in the game setup.
Edit: Having said that though, it could be Windoze as I think it only happens on the initial game login for the day, if that makes sense. Will check that out later as I am having a little rage quit moment for now

My next purchase will be an X55 (once I sell a monitor!)
Just throwing that out there!

All I have to do is reselect the profile as mentioned by Flip, to get the curves and custom key binds. Other than that, I don't need to touch anything in Elite.

Using a profile allows me to have more controls from the X-55 (especially the throttle half of it) like pausing and resetting the TrackIR, toggling my mike, controlling the volume and playlist of the audio player, toggling the HUD on/off, etc.
The X-55 software is neither intuitive or user friendly, but it's powerful enough to make it useful.

I use Voice Attack to control TrackIR and a few other things and have a few spare buttons on the X 55 still.

So Flip...I gave it some thought and decided I would try to make a profile. I watched the you tube vid on how to do it but I cannot find a manual to assist me. It has turned into a bloody nightmare so, I have given up for now. I may have another go later as obviously it 'can' be done.
